THOMAS P. SPIER, ESQ.
Mr. Spier graduated Gettysburg College in 1984 with a double major in history and business administration, and received his law degree from Case Western Reserve University Law School in 1988. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn New York between 1988 and 1993 where he tried twenty-five (25) felony cases to verdict becoming an accomplished trial attorney.
Between 1993 and 1998 he was an associate attorney at a major Manhattan insurance defense firm. Responsibilities included pre-trial discovery, trials and appeals in a myriad of civil litigation matters not limited to products liability, medical and dental malpractice, vehicular accidents, premises liability and construction accidents. Clients included municipal entities, a major automobile manufacturer and private entities and persons insured through top-tier insurance companies.
In 1998 Mr. Spier co-founded Tumelty & Spier, LLP. As a partner at Tumelty & Spier, LLP, Mr. Spier handles complex civil litigation matters not limited to construction accidents, vehicular accidents, premises liability, and medical malpractice matters.
Mr. Spier was one of the youngest Judges in New York State, and held this position for eight (8) years. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of the War Writer's Campaign, is an assistant prosecutor for the Village of Shoreham, serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of Shoreham and is on the Town of Brookhaven Ethics Board.
